Neill Posted by Zoe 1 min read Peacefully, on Thursday, February 19th 2026, Douglas Reid, aged 84. Reunited with his beloved wife Elizabeth (Betty) and his dear daughter Yvonne. A fiercely proud grandad to Victoria and Christopher. Douglas will be fondly remembered for his long career as a police tailor and his dedicated years as a leader with the Boys’ Brigade. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, carers, and especially Scott Lavery for his daily visits and unwavering care. A funeral service will take place at Dundee Crematorium on Thursday, March 12th at 10.30am. All who knew Douglas are warmly invited to attend. Family flowers only, please. A collection will be taken at the Crematorium in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie.
